That is usually easy to see. They often become &#8220;stink ditches&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Drinking troughs could have the same effect. Therefore, watertroughs has to easily be able to flushed easily and \/ or be refreshed regularly.<\/p>\n<p>However, also <strong>not moving air<\/strong> is bad.\u00a0 Since you can\u2019t see that and we get used to the smell of the stall, it doesn\u2019t stand out. See the Tip about ventilation from August 2011.<br \/>\nEspecially the highly producing or unfit cows have issues with effects deriving from still air.<br \/>\nCows that have to produce a lot of milk also need a lot of oxygen.<\/p>\n<p>Always make sure the\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">air<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400;\">in the stall\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">is moving!<br \/>\nFresh air is a pleasure for the cows as for people, also in the robot room or milking parlor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Set the fans at the lowest setting and open the windbreak curtains on (one?) side earlier and more often.
